Earth Day-Every day
The first Earth Day was celebrated on April 22, 1970. More then 20 million Americans took to the streets to demonstrate their concerns about making a safer environment. Find out what your city is doing to celebrate Earth Day and participate in events that will help raise awareness about issues that are threatening the future of our planet. Mother Earth keeps giving us the supplies we need, but her resources are not endless. Help her preserve and renew for you, us and for the future. Live well today, live well forever.
Celebrate Earth Day by:
- Planting a tree in your yard or community.
- Carpool. Or even better, walk or ride a bike to work or school instead of driving.
- Shop at your local farmers market and prepare an all organic Earth Day dinner.
- Donate your time or money to your favorite environmental organization.
- Recycle your trash for a month. It won't cost you any more time. Once you get started, you can keep on recycling for the rest of the year.
